Course Descriptions

Spanish Language and Culture

The Language and Culture program is appropriate for students who wish to complement the study of the Spanish language with content courses in culture, history, economics, politics, art history, etc. In addition to the mandatory “Spanish Grammar” and “Spanish Speaking and Writing Skills” classes, the program offers a variety of subjects taught by expert faculty members from the University of Granada, both in Spanish for students with an intermediate level of Spanish (CEFR Levels B1.2 and B2.1) and in English for lower level students (CEFR A1 through B1.1). As a general guideline, students who have taken approximately 3-4 semesters of college-level Spanish will place into Spanish Language and Culture.

Students in the Language and Culture program may complete an internship at a local educational institution. Students should check with their home universities regarding whether or not they can earn credit for this internship course.
